Togetherness is the Key to being Alone

I stepped off the plane to a place that was COLD! Not believing my skin could feel this way as my heart raced with the moments to come. Seeing all the family was home away from home, and seeing my Dad's boat was a familiar feeling of knowing that was his home away from home. I forgot that the awkwardness I felt being in the states was a simliar feeling to someone who has been out at sea, traveling the world. However, some things never change, as always my Dad and I share a love for music and jumped at the opportunity on the Santa Cruz pier to practice our Counting Crows lyrics into an empty microphone. :-) These are the moments you capture and hold close to your heart, because to have a Dad, as well as a friend is nothing to just take for granted, but to openly embrace with all my heart.
